smart HGB Test


Summary

In routine medical diagnostics , the test may be used for the following purposes: To diagnose anemia or polyglobulia, to monitor risk groups for iron deficiency (pregnant women, infants, blood donors, hemodialysis patients, diabetics, athletes, ...), as part of point of care testing when acute bleedings or hemorrhages are suspected, at parasitic diseases as well as quantifying blood loss.

Methode-Measurement Range:

Measuring Range: 0-30 g/dl
Lower Detection Limit: 0,5 g/dl

Principle:

The reagent used binds hemoglobin and its variants to form a coloured complex, which is detected photometrically at 546nm.

HGB Test Procedure


Test kit preparation: Allow single test min. 10 minutes to warm to room temperature by placing the test into the test kit rack. Put test kit package back into refrigerator.

1. Sample collection

Whole blood from finger tip   Whole blood from primary tube

take 20µl whole blood from finger tip
or

take 20µl whole blood (edta) or Serum
from a primary tube

2. Test application

insert RFID card analyser is reading:
  • calibration curve
  • test procedure
  • expiry date
  • lot number
pipette sample into ERS (Eurolyser-Reagent-System) cuvette apply patented ERS cap insert ERS into smart analyser, press "start" - read result

  • precision: cv (14 g/dl) < 2,5% n=20
  • linearity: 0-30 g/dl
